AI readiness and leadership advising

Know where your organization stands with AI, and what to do first

For owners, executive directors, school leaders, and leadership teams who want a clear, honest picture before they spend money or ask staff to change how they work.

The questions leaders are actually asking

Most leaders we talk with are not asking which AI product to buy. They are asking whether staff are already using AI, and whether that is a problem. They want to know where it could save real time, what could go wrong, what their board, parents, or clients will expect, and what a sensible first step looks like for an organization their size.

Readiness advising answers those questions for your organization specifically. It looks at how people use AI today, where the useful opportunities are, how confident your staff feel, and which risks need guardrails. Then it turns that into a short list of first steps you can actually take.

Paid engagement

The AI Readiness Assessment

A defined, paid engagement that goes well beyond the introductory AI Reality Check conversation. Scope and fee depend on the size of your organization and how much ground you want to cover. We agree on both in writing before any work starts.

Leadership conversations
Structured conversations with the owner, director, or leadership team about goals, worries, current AI use, and what success would look like a year from now.
Light workflow and tool review
A look at the tools you already pay for, how staff are using AI today (officially or not), and a few recurring workflows where time is being lost. This is a review, not a technical audit.
Staff confidence
Where it helps, a short survey or a few conversations with staff so the plan reflects the people who will do the work, not only leadership’s view.
Risk and governance, in ordinary language
What information is sensitive for you, which uses need stronger review, who owns final decisions, and whether you need a simple written AI use guideline.
What you may receive
Depending on scope:
  • A prioritized list of possible AI uses, with the risk and effort of each
  • A practical 30/60/90-day plan with owners and first steps
  • Recommendations on training needs and where to start
  • Notes for a basic AI use guideline, if you do not have one

A good fit when

  • Leadership wants a shared view before committing budget or staff time
  • You suspect staff are using AI informally and want to get ahead of it
  • A board, funder, or client has asked about your approach to AI
  • You have tried a few tools and want a steadier plan

Probably not the right start when

How to begin

  1. Book an AI Reality Check. A 20-minute conversation about your organization and what you hope to improve.
  2. Decide together. If an assessment makes sense, you get a short written scope and fee. If it does not, we will say so.
  3. Get to work. Most of the time goes into conversations with your people, not paperwork.
AI Reality Check

Talk it through before you commit to anything

Tell us what your organization does, where work is getting stuck, and how your team uses AI today. We will talk through sensible next steps, including when AI is not the right answer yet.

Not a technical demo or a high-pressure sales call. It is a conversation, not a formal assessment or a custom plan.
